Reopening closed jobs

You can reopen a closed job without needing to contact support. Simply navigate to the job list page, apply the "closed jobs" filter, and click on the "reopen job" option. A success message will confirm the job has been reactivated and removed from the closed jobs list.

Upon reopening, the job will trigger necessary updates in related systems to ensure everything is current. You'll be directed to the job details page, where you can verify or update job information as needed.

Upon reopening a job, please note that the job will initially remain in an 'offline' state. To ensure visibility and restart the recruitment process, it is essential to manually re-publish the job ads. This additional step ensures that you have the opportunity to review and update the job details if necessary before it goes live again.

The ability to reopen jobs is controlled by a new permission, "Reopen Jobs." This ensures only authorised users can perform this action.

Will reopening a job affect my reports?

Reopening a job will not negatively impact your reports. However, it's important to note:

  • The job's history will include its archived status, but this won't interfere with reporting accuracy.
  • The time-to-closure metric reflects the period from the job's initial posting to its most recent closure, including any periods the job was closed.
